The Ways of Being & Rule of Life

WAYS OF BEING

CDSP is a seminary of the Episcopal Church whose
mission is to prepare priests for the church.
Regardless of anyone’s religious affiliation, we all,
faculty, staff, and students commit to incorporating
these ways of being a community into our common
work.

As a community, we will strive:

  1. To presume the good will of each other in our conversations, interactions, and working relationships.
  2. To accept personal responsibility for our unique role, empower others to do the same, and work through conflict in healthy ways.
  3. To recognize the God-given dignity in all persons in our community and to treat one another with respect in thought, word, and deed.

RULE OF LIFE

  1. Daily Engagement with Scripture (see below)
  2. Weekly participation in local eucharistic worship
  3. Daily offices every day (alone, on Zoom, podcast, etc.)
  4. Pray daily for CDSP and its students, staff, and faculty
  5. Learn one new thing about your context (parish/neighborhood/city/state) each month
