Students in this course will develop and sharpen the theological, theoretical and practical skills necessary to recruit, train, and lead teams of people to facilitate connecting students to a lifelong Christian faith through local church communities. The emphasis will be on equipping students to create broad and deep structures, programs, and relationships to take youth from "un-‐churched and disinterested" through to "committed Christian leadership." Students are required to be in active ministry in a context where they can meet and connect with youth both inside and outside the congregational setting each week. In-‐class lecture/discussion, case studies, student presentations. Evaluation by means of weekly reflections on assigned readings (on Moodle), leading in-‐class reflections, monthly report on practical ministry activities, three 5-‐7 page reflection papers/projects.
