(E)pistle: Welcome Trinity Vestry!

As most of you know, since 2019, CDSP has been owned and operated by Trinity Church, Wall Street.  The board of the school is actually the Vestry of this famous and historic church, known for its world-wide charitable work as well as being the resting place of Alexander Hamilton (one of my favorites!).

The partnership that the school has with the church is unique, and I would go so far as to call it “a marriage made in heaven.”  For its part, the school brings to this relationship a talented faculty and staff and over 150 years of excellence in theological education. The church, in turn, provides the funding, corporate experience, and wide professional vision, which position us to create priests and lay leaders ready for the challenges of the 21st Century.

The Trinity Vestry has been remarkably pro-active in making sure they are familiar with the workings of the school.  After all, we are just one part of their extensive outreach work.   On a regular basis, their members and staff come to visit us on campus, to meet with our faculty, talk with the students, sit in on a lecture, and worship with us.  They will be here again this week.  By the time they leave, all members of their large vestry will have seen the campus!

Welcome Trinity Church leaders and thank you!
