BERKELEY, Calif., Oct.8, 2012 – Amy M. Vogelsang, M.B.A., of Berkeley, Calif., is the new Vice President for Finance and Operations at Church Divinity School of the Pacific, the Very Rev. Dr. W. Mark Richardson, President and Dean of the Episcopal seminary, announced today.
In announcing the appointment to the newly created position, Richardson praised Vogelsang’s financial management skills in both the non-profit and corporate sectors. She began her duties today.
“Amy is ready to offer strategic planning with respect to both personnel and facilities systems,” he said. Richardson said the new vice president position strengthens the seminary’s ability to more effectively and strategically manage its resources.
Vogelsang holds an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bryn Mawr College. She also has a certified public account qualification in Rhode Island.
She has more than 15 years of leadership in enterprise financial and operational business systems as a senior manager at Walmart.com, Autodesk and UPS. Supply Chain Solutions Inc., and was formerly chief financial officer for the YWCA of San Francisco and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of San Francisco, controller for the Tides Foundation, and accountant for the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
She has experience in real estate acquisitions, financial systems, strategic planning and accounting systems management. Amy is a Pennsylvania native and the daughter of a Presbyterian minister.
