Forum: What Happened at General Convention?

Members of the CDSP community will discuss their participation in the 77th General Convention of the Episcopal Church, which occurred in July 2012 in Indianapolis.

Cathlena Plummer – Episcopal Church in Navajoland

Cathlena will highlight Native American issues discussed in various sessions, such as the Doctrine of Discovery, which was reviewed in the National and International Committees. She will also touch on funding for Native American ministries.

Barbara Miller – Diocese of El Camino Real

Barbara will discuss the experience of participating in the Convention from her perspective as a Deputy, including worship and fellowship, and the work of the Committee on Stewardship and Development.

Dr. Rod Dugliss – Diocese of California

As a Deputy, Rod will speak on the Convention theme of "Doing the Ordinary Work of the Church in Extraordinary Times."

The Rev. Dr. Ruth Meyers – Chair of The Standing Commission on Liturgy and Music

Ruth will talk about The Blessings Project and other decisions made about liturgy at the Convention.
