Faculty Sabbaticals

The Rev. Linda Clader, Ph.D., Professor of Homiletics, will be on sabbatical during Fall semester, 2012. She plans to write several entries for the new Feasting on the Gospels series (her assignment is from Luke), and to continue working on a handbook for preachers who are preaching in shared ministry settings. The two classes she offered last summer in Cody, WY and at CDSP will offer her important perspectives to include in the handbook.

Registration How do I register if my diocese/parish is paying for my tuition?

Field Education

At CDSP, ministry is learned not only in the classroom but also in pulpits, hospitals, and vestry meetings. Field Education, in which students serve local parishes, agencies, or chaplaincies, is a vital, integral part of the M.Div. program. The School for Deacons of the Diocese of California, with offices on the CDSP campus, manages CDSP’s field education program. The School for Deacons manages all aspects of the Field Education Program, including placement, learning contracts, weekly seminars, and evaluations.
Financial Aid

A variety of financial aid programs are available at CDSP, including scholarships, loans and work-study. Students seeking any type of financial aid, including grants, federal work study, or federal government loans, must apply each year for the following academic year. Financial aid applications are available beginning in January of each year.
Food Service Advisory Board

A Food Service Advisory Board has been established for the three schools that share D’Autrement Dining Hall. The board meets monthly to approve menus, recommend service changes and conduct an annual Food Service Survey. It includes:
