- News & Info
Because CDSP is a small but well-resourced community, students (and spartners) are free to start, renew, experiment and try-out almost any kind of group or initiative.
Here are some long-standing student groups, some with institutional ties to the larger Church and some stand-alone initiatives.
Episcopal Relief & Development
The student fundraising affiliate of the worldwide relief agency of the Episcopal Church. Provides money and resources in times of emergency or disaster. Representatives: Hannah Cornthwaite and Anne Clark
Episcopal Evangelism Network
The CDSP chapter of the national group that seeks to support, equip and prepare progressive entrepreneurial seminarians to share the message and life of Jesus Christ. The network’s mission is to provide access to the practical training seminarians need to start new mission-oriented communities or to rebuild spiritual communities that have significantly declined; and to create a safe space for progressive Episcopalians to integrate their values with their vocations for evangelism.

Daughters of the King, Sophia Chapter
Some female seminarians at CDSP have taken vows to join this religious order: to reaffirm the promises made at Baptism and Confirmation, pledging herself to a life-long program of prayer, service and evangelism, dedicated to the spread of Christ’s Kingdom and the strengthening of the spiritual life of her parish. -The Order of the Daughters of the King® (DOK) is a spiritual sisterhood of women dedicated to a life of Prayer, Service and Evangelism. “We have made a commitment to Jesus as our Savior, and we follow Him as Lord of our lives. We are an Order for women who are communicants of the Episcopal Church, churches in communion with it, or churches in the Historic Episcopate. Today our membership includes women in the Anglican, Episcopal, Lutheran (ELCA) and Roman Catholic churches.”

Koinonia: The Partners/Spouses’ Group
The purpose of Koinonia is to provide emotional support for partners/spouses at CDSP. Koinonia may hold monthly informal meetings for partners/spouses to provide a forum to discuss the joys and challenges of being the partner/spouse of a seminarian. Conversations are candid, and confidential.
