Summer Anglican Immersion

Anglican Immersion is CDSP’s two-week summer event in July in which students immerse themselves in Anglican liturgy, theology, history, and ethos.

Candidates for Holy Orders seeking a firm foundation in the Anglican tradition, parish leaders who want to stay focused and fresh, and pilgrims eager to explore the riches of Anglican spirituality will all find a place in courses offered at Church Divinity School of the Pacific this summer.

CDSP’s Anglican Immersion program is an intellectually rigorous, enjoyable, efficient way for students seeking either a fully accredited Certificate of Anglican Studies or continuing education to have a rewarding and formative experience.

The Certificate Program

 Students spend two weeks at CDSP for two consecutive summers, studying primarily with our tenured faculty and taking part in the community-based Anglican spiritual formation that is among the seminary’s hallmarks. They complete their academic work during the year by joining residential Master of Divinity students for four flexible online courses.

 A Summer CALL

 CDSP is home to the Center for Anglican Leadership and Learning (CALL) where clergy and lay people who lead a rapidly changing church can sharpen old skills and develop new ones in continuing education classes led by William Countryman, Donn Morgan, Ruth Meyers, and other leading scholars and thinkers. They can spend a week or more at CDSP each summer depending on the nature of their course or courses, and complete their work in an interactive online setting during the year.

CALL is also the perfect place for spiritually hungry and intellectually curious students seeking to deepen their own experience or understanding of the Christian tradition in a vibrant and collegial campus atmosphere.
