The Rev. Michelle Meech
Registration Deadline: Thu, Jan 24, 2013
CEUs: 2

Shared Ministry, Total Ministry, Mutual Ministry, Area Ministry. No matter what you call it, the question is the same: "Given that we are called to ministry at this time and in this place with these resources, what are we to DO?" This course will teach a model of ministry discernment for community. We will explore our call to ministry – both as individuals and as the collective, discuss how to lead and empower others in their ministry, and seek articulation of ministry in real and tangible ways outside the walls of the church building.

The Rev. Michelle Meech is the Ministry Developer for the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan and an Episcopal priest.  She received an MDiv from Church Divinity School of the Pacific where she focused on ministry development.  Michelle is also an Enneagram teacher, has a strong interest in interfaith dialogue, and is passionate about helping people connect to their call in ministry.

The Rev. Dr. Walter Knowles

Anglican worship is a broad and varied tradition of relationship to God. Using the 1979 Book of Common Prayer as our primary reference, we will be experiencing and exploring this way of prayer in our own worship life. You’ll be introduced to some of the theological and historical thinking which has grounded Anglicans in our thinking about this community gathered to worship God and sent out to do God’s work in the world.

The Rev. Dr. Walter Knowles lives in Seattle, WA and studies, writes and teaches in the intersection of the arts (particularly music), history, and liturgy. He earned his Ph.D. in Liturgical Studies at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA in 2009. Please see his web site at www.liturgicalstudies.org.

The Rev. Austin Leininger
Registration Deadline: Thu, Jan 24, 2013
CEUs: 2
Essential Anglican Study Series

Ethics in the Anglican tradition draws on a rich history of discourse as we strive to engage with our faith, living it out in an imperfect world and Church. Ethical dilemmas continue to challenge lay and ordained leaders across the wide diversity of our church, frequently in our own parishes, where each of us engages our faith to face the challenges that surround us. We’ll spend some time conversing with history (ancient Greece, Bible, Reformation), then dive into some of our “best” Anglican dilemmas both old and new.

The Rev. Austin Leininger has been an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Northern California since 2006, and is working toward completing a PhD in Ethics and Social Theory at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. He is husband to Jane, and papa to their three children (Marie – 5, Anthony – 3 ½, and Lily – 2).
