Commitment to Diversity

The Board of Trustees of the Church Divinity School of the Pacific has declared the commitment and intention of the seminary to welcome diverse people throughout the seminary’s educational, administrative, and community endeavors.

To fulfill this commitment, the Board urges this entire community to advocate and implement:

• the intentional recognition of and sensitivity to the diversity of people at CDSP
• the recruitment of an increasingly diverse student body, faculty, staff, and Board
• an increased atmosphere of welcoming and being welcomed by all people at CDSP
• the preparation for lay and ordained ministry in an ever more diverse and multicultural world
• the ongoing accountability of this seminary in addressing issues related to hospitality, diversity and multiculturalism, including race, color, ethnic origin, sex, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, or age.
